Thought Process (Reflection)

At the beginning of experimentation, I briefly created a mind-map of the ideas in processes. These ideas are subject to change through the process.

Thread 1: to analyse all my ideas visually, shuffling them in quick and tangible ways to create many simple images
Thread 2: printmaking to simplify ideas from thread 1
Thread 3: combining threads 1 and 2 to diversify mediums
Thread 4: ideas for final outcomes generated, animating as final experimentation

Throughout the year, I think I learned a lot about my working process. I don't share the conventional processes and thinking of most illustrators to freely experiment, so I hope to organise my process chronologically to help it make sense, especially since my map feels so complicated with many ideas. I have three aims. To filter out unsuited memories, diversify my use of mediums and to incorporate empathy and interaction. I think the message of collective existence can be emphasised further beyond zines or animations, but that my experimentation can bring me to unique outcomes such as products or even augmented reality which I haven't tried before.
